I received this the other day. If you’ve been connected to the Southwest Metroplex Baptist Association, this may be helpful.
Director of Missions, Milton Ertelt, is retiring after thirteen plus years of serving the churches of Southwest Metroplex Baptist Association. He and Charlotte also served many years as international missionaries in Africa and the Middle East. Milton has served the Association since January 1, 1997 and will retire effective April 30, 2010. During his years of service there have been thirty-six Missions and/or Churches started or brought into the Association. Twenty of those continue to meet and are a vital part of the work of spreading the gospel in and around Johnson County.
A Retirement Reception has been planned to honor Brother Milton, and his precious wife Charlotte, for their faithful service to SWMBA as well as many years of service as International missionaries. The Come and Go Reception will be held at First Baptist Church, Burleson, Saturday, April 10, 2010, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. There will be a brief opening statement and time of reflection beginning a little after 2:00 P.M.
As a way of expressing our love and appreciation to Brother Milton, Letters of Remembrance that would be placed together in a Book of Remembrance are being received.
What a wonderful thing it would be if every Church, Mission, former SWMBA church staff member, fellow DOMs, former missionary colleagues, co-workers and friends would provide a Letter of Remembrance. Send Letters of Remembrance to Judy Cole at 601 N. Nolan River Rd., Cleburne, TX 76033 or email@example.com. In addition, anyone wishing to bring or send a personal card or note should feel free to do so.
Thank you in advance for your Letters of Remembrance in honoring our beloved friend and Brother in Christ.
