Notable Baptists pass away

by

Two Baptist leaders passed away recently. Bill Wright, pastor of First Baptist Church in Plains, died Feb. 19. Bill truly was one of the take-charge leaders in our state. His heart for God was as big as this state. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 2:00 p.m. at FBC Plains.

Evangelist, author and pastor BO Baker died Feb. 18. The Baptist Standard has an obituary already posted on Baker. To read it, click here.

  1. David Montoya Says:

These two men were Baptist pillars. Both will be missed. Both contribute greatly to a time in which Baptist were not in decline, being sued, nor looking for six figure paycheck.

Rick Davis has published a very fitting tribute to Bill Wright on his Aintsobad blog.

  2. John W Dudley Says:

    A Grand Reunion is Coming!

Soon we will be reunited with our loved ones.

Luke 23:43: “Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise.” All the earth will be transformed into a paradise under the rule of Christ as King.

(John 5:28-29) “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out,”

How I look forward to a Grand Reunion with my Family & Friends in the paradise earth!—Rev. 21:3, 4.
