Jon Randles passed this opportunity to me. It looks like an interesting gathering and discussion could take place. If you get a chance, check it out.
Rico Tice, author of Christianity Explored, is coming to DFW May 15-19, 2009. Developed over 10 years, Christianity Explored (www.christianityexplored) is an informal course for people who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what His aims were, and what it means to follow Him. The course targets the lost/unchurched postmodern effectively. Participants aren’t asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and they can ask any questions they like. Or, if they prefer, they can just come along and listen. Christianity Explored has been around for over a decade now, and it’s been designed to suit different age ranges and people.
Here is where you come in. Rico is coming to the US to introduce the new Spanish language edition of CE in Dallas (May 15-16) and Fort Worth (May 18-19). That means he is available Sunday evening May 17, 2009 to “hang out” with pastors and church leaders like you. As of the sending of this, a few of us are going to have a cup of coffee in Forth Worth that evening and get to know Rico and learn more about CE and the postmodern mind. If you are interested, let me know. As of right now, here are the particulars:
