Victims of the storm are reaching out to others

Not all the help for Southeast Texas is coming from other places. Texas Baptists living in Southeast Texas already are reaching out to the community around them. They may not yet have electricity or a solid fuel supply, but they already thinking of others.

Two great examples that I’m aware of are Ecclesia Church in Houston and the Baptist Missions Centers in Houston. I’ll post another entry on the missions center, but Pastor Chris Seay has called his congregation to the streets to begin picking up debris and starting the recovery process.

I forgot to mention this. If you’d like to help Chris and the folks from Ecclesia, the best way to contact Chris is probably via Facebook. Cell phone coverage where he is appears to be incomplete. The network is often busy. So drop him a note via facebook, if you’d like.
