A report from the Houston Baptist Mission Centers

by

We are currently working with generator-power and have limited ability to update this site. We will provide volunteer information as soon as possible. The areas around the mission centers have minor damage; mostly fallen trees on roadways and homes. The lack of electricity is the most pressing problem. People have run out of ice to cool food and have no water.

Grocery stores are open on a limited basis with huge lines; most only providing non-perishables.Gasoline is very limited and most food items are cash-only. Therefore, the most urgent need at BMC neighborhoods is for feeding units and ice delivery. We need volunteers who are able to provide food and ice. The parking lot at Gano can be used as a staging ground for a feeding unit. We have water but no electricity. Volunteers can stay on the lot without the benefit of electricity.

Please text a message to 281-543-2992 if you can help immediately. Someone will respond as soon as possible. Please do not text for information only; check this website instead. Thank you for your love and concern for our city and our people.
