Mobi - CHM is perhaps the only e-reader which supports
the CHM file format. I can attest to that, but I have one major problem:
I cannot afford to keep on paying up to $14 for every book that I want to read.
You don't have to add that you are also being a cheapskate, or maybe you could take advantage of a teachable moment about sticking to a budget.

I really love the series and I agree that the books aren't going to make children fire up the pit and send burnt offerings to Zeus. But it will continue the love of reading and loving to read is the most important thing. You have to enjoy reading if your going to make something of yourself in this world. If you don't want to read you'll never amount to anything. Take getting a degree for example, requires reading.

The transliteration of the words "camp half blood" actually would be: stratopedon hemisu haima. If the words on the shirt are meant to be traslated into English as "Camp Half Blood," the designer spelled the Greek words wrong using the Greek letters he did; transliterated, he wrote: straopsdon emis uaima--which doesn't seem to spell any actual Greek words.

Camp Half Blood info here, for all of us who don't follow it otherwise:

On Percy Jackson related clothing appear three Greek words, transliterated they read "straopsdon nemez gaima." I minored in N.T. Greek in Bible school and have tried to translate these words. I have been unable to find any citations as to their meaning. What does these words say or are they simply nonsense words? I have a 12 year old niece who is reading this literature and desires to know what they mean.

Oh thank Jesus.
Finally a level headed Christian suggestion about popular culture. Yes, talk to children about TRUTH. Forbidding fiction is futile and reckless. Please, Brothers and Sisters, don't go all Harry Potter on this one. Lets not picket or boycott.

My kids think these books are great and, …‘gasp’….they still believe in Jesus. Not a single on of my three sons have fired up a burnt offering to Zeus since reading the series.

Compare TRUTH to fiction. Kids know fiction, they are not stupid. If all we do is put or sanctified fingers in our ears and sing praise songs loudly we might be able to block our children from secular influences for a short while but not forever. Isn’t better to prepare them instead of merely shertering?

Matthew 10:16
I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
